Will there be a court proceeding?

Yes, you will have to appear at a so called 341 hearing at the bankruptcy court. At this meeting the trustee or the judge will question you under oath about your assets, liabilities, transfers, income etc. Also creditors may be present and question you about the circumstances under which you incurred the debt. They may claim you committed fraud and that your debts should not be discharged. A bankruptcy lawyer will help you prepare for this meeting.
