Are student loans dischargeable?

Student loans are currently not dischargeable. However, prominent politicians have recently called for new rules that would allow educational debts to be discharged during bankruptcy. Many of our Rinne Legal clients struggle with their student loans. Our experienced bankruptcy team is in favor of discharging student loans. Student loan debt should be dischargeable just like credit card or medical debt. We welcome the recent movement on a political level to push for the inclusion of student loan debt in the Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 bankruptcy process. Our Rinne Legal bankruptcy attorneys will keep you updated on the most recent developments during your free bankruptcy consultation. You can use Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 bankruptcy to start over and secure your financial stability for the future.
